Wave To Earth Announces First North American Tour

Korean indie rock trio Wave To Earth will embark on their first ever North American tour this August and September. Beginning in Berkeley, CA, the band will move east to New York and Vancouver, before looping back west to finish the tour in Seattle.

Debuting in August 2019 with their single “Wave,” Wave To Earth is made up of drummer Shin Dong Kyu, singer-songwriter Daniel Kim, and bassist John Cha, with Cha joining the act upon the release of their first EP, [Wave 0.01], in January 2020. The three members regularly feature keyboardist Jo Jung Geun, saxophonist Jeon Min, and artwork member Hong Seung Gi in their works. The trio’s work is entirely self produced, doing all the writing, recording, mixing, and mastering themselves, and even their own album art, videos, and fashion.

With the intent of becoming the new wave of music and expanding their reach throughout the world, hence their band’s name, a majority of their music is in English, despite being based in Seoul. Wave To Earth’s most recent release was just last month in April, with their full album, 0.1 flaws and all. The album release was paired with a documentary series to showcase the behind-the-scenes process, which can be found on the band’s YouTube channel.
