Korean American singer-songwriter eaJ will be playing his first two headlining shows in the U.S. this June. The singer will be performing at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on June 29th and 30th, with the first date having sold out during the pre-sale period, leading to the announcement of the second date.
eaJ debuted in 2015 as Jae, vocalist and electric guitarist of Korean band DAY6, before going on to participate in several other projects, including hosting Arirang’s TV program, After School Club, hosting a podcast on Dive Studios titled “How Did I Get Here?” and voice acting for characters, Kwang-sun and Ye Joon, in the third season of Disney TV show, Big Hero 6: The Series. Throughout all this, the singer also stayed busy with releases with the band, as well as solo releases on YouTube under his alias, eaJ. In late 2020, the singer began to release more solo work, collaborating with DPR Live and Crush for “Jam & Butterfly,” Seori for “It Just Is” and “Dive with You,” and Keshi for “Pillow.” That same year, eaJ made his first solo stateside performance, serving as one of the main stage acts for 88rising’s 2021 Head in the Clouds festival.
On October 28th, eaJ featured as a guest artist during MAX’s Los Angeles show at The Wiltern, and shortly afterwards embarked on an Asian tour, which included stops at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds festivals in Jakarta and Manila. Most recently, eaJ released his EP, smiling in insomnia, with title track “no one’s fault” in April of this year.
