Jake Shimabukuro Embarks on ‘Christmas in Hawaii’ Tour

Dubbed the “Jimi Hendrix” of the ukulele, Hawaii-born Jake Shimabukuro (pronounced she-ma-BOO-koo-row) rose to fame afer his cover of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” on Youtube went viral in 2006. An incredibly successful solo artist, he has performed on multiple world tours and his music has topped the Billboard World Music Albums. His most recent album, Jake & Friends, features Kenny Loggins, Moon Taxi, Jimmy Buffett, Jack Johnson, Willie Nelson, and many more musicians.

To celebrate the holiday season, Shimabukuro will be holding 23 shows across the Western U.S. states from November 26th through December 19th for his upcoming Christmas in Hawaii tour. Joining him to spread fun, holiday cheer to audiences of all ages are bassist Jackson Waldhoff and special guests Justin Kawika Young and Herb Ohta, Jr.
