Hailed as the “prince of ballads,” Taiwanese singer-songwriter Eric Chou (周興哲) is best known for his emotional love songs and heartfelt vocal delivery. His self-composed track “The Distance of Love” skyrocketed the young singer to fame in 2014, and subsequent releases like “你,好不好?(How Have You Been),” “This is Love,” and “怎麼了 (What’s Wrong)” were also extremely well received, solidifying his claim to stardom. Since his 2017 album “如果雨之後 (The Chaos After You),” Chou has been bringing EDM elements into some of his ballads, drawing inspiration from The Chainsmokers and Martin Garrix. While unable to tour during the pandemic, Chou kept busy, releasing his fourth studio album “小時候的我們 (When We Were Young)” in 2020 and composing and recording “最後一堂課 (Graduation)” for the TV series “媽,別鬧了! (Mom, Don’t Do That!)” earlier this year.
