Disney Goes Classical with Lang Lang at the Hollywood Bowl

Renowned pianist Lang Lang joins the LA Philharmonic and a host of special guests on September 15 for a night at the Hollywood Bowl packed with Disney tunes–with a classical twist. The evening will showcase pieces from the pianist’s upcoming album, The Disney Book, and other favorites from Disney movies such as Soul, The Jungle Book, and Frozen. Having released an album in 2020 dedicated to famous movie soundtracks and collaborating with the likes of Metallica, Pharrell Williams and Herbie Hancock, the Chinese superstar is no stranger to reinterpreting popular songs through his characteristically virtuosic style. Selected as a top 250 Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum and named a Messenger of Peace by Secretary General of the United Nations, Lang Lang’s impact extends far beyond artistry into philanthropy and education, and he has been hailed as “world’s ambassador of the keyboard” by the New Yorker.
