mxmtoon Embarks on 2022 North American Tour

Oakland artist mxmtoon, also known as Maia, will begin touring in North America at the beginning of May. She’ll be performing songs from her discography as well as her newest song, “Mona Lisa.” She initially released the single in February along with an announcement for her next album, rising, which is set to come out on May 20th. Chloe Moriondo, a fellow indie musician, will be joining mxmtoon on her North American tour.

Known for her bedroom indie pop sound, mxmtoon gained traction for her music and personality on YouTube, and later through Spotify after her debut EP, Plum Blossom. Her lyrics over wistful tunes are reminiscent of an all too familiar feeling. In that vein, Maia has publicly talked about her mental health struggles on Consequence’s Podcast: Going There with Dr. Mike.

More information on her upcoming tour can be found on the mxmtoon website.
