Tokyo-based Japanese band MONO brings their transcendental, instrumental rock sound to 50 venues on a 5-month world tour starting in April 2022. The 4-piece band, consisting of Takaakira ‘Taka’ Goto (Guitar), Tamaki (Bass, Piano), Yoda (Guitar), and Dahm (Drums), celebrated their 20-year anniversary prior to the pandemic.
The band name is derived from “monoaural”, which captures their infusion of film-score orchestral, post-rock, shoegaze, and hints of other genres into what NME magazine has aptly described as “music for the Gods”. In 2021, they released their latest album, Pilgrimage of the Soul in 2021, which captures the groundswell of thoughts and emotions they experienced on their artistic journey.
