The next few months are slated to be some of Beabadoobee’s busiest yet. Starting off in April with two Sunday performances at Coachella, the singer will then go on her own mini tour, while featuring in two other artists’ tours. In addition to Halsey’s Love and Power tour and Bleachers’ 2022 tour, fans can also catch her at one of her shows in California, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia, or Florida.
Originally trained as a violinist, Beabadoobee taught herself to play the guitar with YouTube tutorials and videos before writing her first song, “Coffee,” and posting it online late 2017. “Coffee,” along with a cover of “The Moon Song” by Karen O, quickly caught the attention of independent label Dirty Hit, and shortly after, the Filipino-British singer-songwriter was signed to the company, releasing her first EP Lice in March 2018. Since then, Beabadoobee has released four other EPs, and her first full studio album Fake It Flowers was released in October 2020. Fake It Flowers debuted at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart, and even helped the singer land the top spot on Billboard’s Top New Rock Artist of 2020 list.
Most recently, Beabadoobee released her single, “Last Day On Earth” on March 24, 2021. The song was produced and co-written by her labelmates, Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975, and was the lead track on her 2021 EP Our Extended Play. Beabadoobee also featured on fellow singer-songwriter Cavetown’s newest song, “Fall in Love With a Girl,” which was released on February 25, 2022.
