Tim Wu, better known by his stage name Elephante, will soon be heading off on tour in early March, bringing his signature electronic melodies to venues across the U.S. An American-born Taiwanese artist, Elephante has made a name for himself in the electronic music world as a musician, DJ, and producer. Just last year, he debuted with 88rising, a music label and creative agency known for representing AAPI artists such as NIKI, Joji, and Rich Brian, performing at their third annual Head in The Clouds Festival.
Elephante recently released the deluxe edition of his third studio album, Heavy Glow, a project he describes as a statement on identity. “It’s about coming to terms with who you are compared to who everyone else sees you as or expects you to be. Heavy Glow became a metaphor for the part of you that shines through in the nighttime, and can be hard for other people to really see. It can feel like a huge weight on your shoulders, but ultimately defines who you are.” The 14-track album explores emotions across the spectrum, reflecting the ups and downs the artist himself experienced throughout the pandemic.
The Heavy Glow tour will also feature fellow Asian electronic artists yetep, Hoang, nøll, and Sabai. Heavy Glow (Deluxe Edition) is out now and tickets for the tour can be purchased at www.elephantemusic.com.
